Our statement of faith
What we believe
Eight short statements, reproduced exactly as the church has published them.
Everything this church teaches sits on these eight things. They are short on purpose.
The statement
Eight things we hold
Statement 01
The Bible is the inspired Word of God.
Statement 02
Our God is One, but manifested in three Persons: the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit.
Statement 03
Man is a created being, made in the likeness and image of God, but through Adam's transgression and fall, sin came into the world.
Statement 04
Salvation is the gift of God to man through faith in Jesus Christ.
Statement 05
The New Birth is necessary to all men, and when experienced, produces eternal life.
Statement 06
Baptism in water is by immersion, is a direct commandment of our Lord, and is for believers only.
Statement 07
The Baptism in the Holy Ghost is a gift and is accompanied by the initial evidence of speaking in other tongues.
Statement 08
We believe in sanctification, which is living a life of holiness. Healing is the privilege of every member of the Church today provided through Jesus' death on the Cross.
What we believe
This is our statement of faith. It is short on purpose. Everything we teach here sits on these eight things.
Two things we say alongside it
Faith and Security
We are committed to nurturing faith and offering spiritual security by guiding individuals toward a strong relationship with God through Jesus Christ.
Building Community
We emphasize building a supportive community where Christians can grow together and share their journey of faith.
If some of that was unfamiliar
Church statements of faith are written for people already inside the church, and this one is no exception. If a line in it did not mean much to you, that is normal and it is not a problem. You do not have to agree with all eight statements to sit in a service here, and nobody is going to test you at the door.
If you want to ask about any of it, ask. Dr. Holmes would rather answer a real question than have you nod along.
